Now that Jean and I no longer need to awake at 5:15 am, we are able to use our free Tuesday moving passes. Last night we went to the 9:40 pm showing of Star Trek, and I enjoyed it a lot. The producers and writers did a good job of creating an authentic Star Trek universe and storyline, which was authenticized by the appearance of Leonard Nimoy as the “classic” Mr. Spock. I look forward to more movies in the future.

I haven’t done much writing yet since I’ve been catching up on leftover chores, including editing the June issue of VoP (which is almost ready for posting at efanzines.com). Hopefully tomorrow I will begin researching the travel book and drafting the “Jason and the Argonauts” story.

Currently listening: Counting Crows was one of my favorite 90s bands, so I am revisiting their 4 albums, starting with their debut August and Everything After. Good stuff.

Currently reading: I’ve begun my summer reading with Andre Norton’s classic series The Time Traders, whose first volume was a decent adventure, but pales a bit compared to Murray Leinsters’ Med Ship which I read immediately before it.
