The immediate arrangements for the wedding are in progress. Jean and I spent three days in Oriskany, New York, where we did some chores for her 89-year old aunt Ceil, then drove her back to our house where she will stay for two weeks. Kate & Mark have sent out their Wedding Day Timeline to all participants in the wedding, and it looks good. I need to phone the restaurant where we are having the Rehearsal Dinner to confirm those plans, then Jean’s brother’s family will start arriving soon. Wednesday her sister-in-law Susan and nephew Jesse will arrive at Newark Airport (about an hour apart in 2 different terminals), and Thursday her brother Peter and nephew Gabe will arrive by car. Yes, our house will be full for the weekend.

Currently reading: I have enjoyed a lot of Stephen Baxter’s short fiction over the past two decades, but I’ve never read any of his numerous novels until I swapped for The Time Ships recently. It is a direct sequel to H.G. Wells’ The Time Machine, and I am really enjoying it. It is highly-recommended.
