Some fun things to do this weekend:
• dig up the septic tank for its periodic pumping; truthfully, we are several years behind in doing this, so I hope we remember precisely where it is (since being off by only a few feet will cause considerably more digging);
• go to a restaurant for our 28th wedding anniversary; time sure flies when you’re having fun!
• spend at least one afternoon at the pool, as I do every weekend in the summer; it’s a great pool, large, uncrowded and nestled in the woods so I can sit in the shade and spend a few hours reading Olympos. That might sound like a novel about the Greek gods, but it is actually a science fiction novel which involves both Greek gods and the Trojan War (you can see my review of Ilium, the first book in this pair, at my sfnal website);
A moment of egotripping: there is a website called SciFan (http://www.scifan.com/) which provides listings of virtually all sf books by author, and one of the books listed is Who Shaped Science Fiction? (of which I will refrain from making any glowing comments, haha).

Speaking of that book, I actually found a copy of it while doing some spring cleaning :)
Happy anniversary!
