Some end-of-the-month thoughts:
• Mark went with Drew today looking at cars, hoping to buy either a Honda or a Nissan;
• I definitely need to lower my expectations for all the things I want to accomplish this summer, since after less than a week I am beginning to feel a bit stressed rather than totally relaxed as I should be;
• I am currently reading Dan Simmons’ two-book SF series Ilium / Olympos which is very interesting and based on Homer's epic; I should examine his plotting closely since that is the hardest part of my own fiction writing;
• I made pea soup in the crock pot this morning and plan to make homemade pizza this afternoon, using the leftover chicken cacciatore sauce which I made Thursday; *yummy*
• Jean, Andy and Mark have gone to the pool three times this week, but I stayed home doing work; if they go this weekend though, I will definitely accompany them once and spend an afternoon reading!
