I can practically taste summer vacation only 3 days ahead! I’ve already picked out which books I want to read:

Inheritor, by C.J. Cherryh
The Rosetta Codex, by Richard Paul Russo
Helix, by Eric Brown
Ilium / Olympos, by Dan Simmons
The Last Witchfinder, by James Morrow
The New Space Opera, edited by Gardner Dozois and Jonathan Strahan

...and that's just for starters!

I’ve also decided what writing projects I want to do (amidst the realization that I will not possibly finish everything I want): the Tibet book, the Route 46 book, and at least 2 stories in the Little Lukie series of future sf stories.

But first tomorrow is graduation (with rumors of rain in the a.m.) followed by the annual retirement luncheon. Did I tell you how much eating I have done ever since Mark’s graduation party exactly one month ago today? I’m beginning to fear one-legged captains named Ahab! ☺

Currently Listening: I got two fabulous cds from my sons for Father’s Day: Richard Thompson’s latest masterpiece Sweet Warrior and the collected works of The Traveling Wilburys, both highly recommended.
