This is the busiest time of the school year, winding up all the curriculum, preparing to give exams, and attending lots of after-school activities. Here are some excerpts from my schedule in the week ahead:
Monday: the periodic Morris Area Math Alliance planning meeting;
Tuesday: the annual Senior Awards Ceremony at my school. I will be giving out the Math Department awards, Asian-American Club Award, Indian Culture Club Award, and Faculty Scholarship;
Wednesday: a supervisor’s meeting after school
I have a bit of a stomach virus right now which hopefully will not last too long. Yesterday was a somewhat uncomfortable day at school because of it. If it does last, it might interfere with all the eating which takes place this time of year. Each day during exams different groups of faculty members bring in breakfast, plus there are a Sunshine Club luncheon, a retirement dinner, and the annual math department barbecue. Nobody wants to miss out on all that great eating! ☺
