A few comments currently floating through my brain:
Jean had her second arthroscopic knee surgery this past week, but she still has cartilage floating around, although it is too soon to know how much these remaining pieces will bother her. A third surgery would not be pleasant, nor would the insurance company likely look upon it happily.
Now that my entire family is working in Parsippany, perhaps it is time to sell this house and move closer than our current 25 miles away. A friend has a wonderful home with lake rights in Denville; maybe we can convince her to sell it to us.
I wish this blog had a guest sign-in page, since I would really like to know who is reading this (partly for ego’s sake, but also if I know who my audience is I can tailor my comments toward their interests a bit). So please, if you are a reader of this blog, leave me a comment occasionally.
Along those same lines, I want to thank Marwa, Jenn, Rabbit, and Ruchi for their comments on this page. Without people like you, I would be writing this stuff only for myself.
Currently reading: Robert Silverberg is one of my two favorite all-time writers. Usually he writes far-future science fiction infused with a love of history, but the novel I am reading now Roma Eterna is an "alternate history" whose premise is that the Western Roman Empire did not disintegrate, but survived intact into contemporary times. Fascinating stuff.
