Today is the first day of summer vacation, and I am looking forward to lots of fun for the next 74 days. It begins tomorrow as Jean, Mark and I fly to Naples for two weeks in Italy. The highlight will be the wedding of Fei Fei and Silvio on the isle of Capri, after which the five of us plus Fei Fei’s parents will travel to Rome, Florence, and Venice. So long as my back can handle the 9 hours’ flight, it should be a fun trip.

And after we return? My mail goal is to finish editing Fei Fei’s Tibet book, as well as prepare a chapter-and-outline to submit to publishers. I hope to also work on some of my own writing, as well as read read read!
