A lot of eating out these five days, which is probably not good for my overall diet. Thursday I ate breakfast at a diner with Meghan, during which we had a very interesting conversation catching up on what is happening in both our lives. Interestingly, I probably stay in contact with more students from his graduating class (2002) than any other one (Kevin, Leslie, Winston and Meghan).
Friday Jean and I frequently go shopping at night and stop someplace to eat, so this week it was a sandwich at Arby’s (probably the least offensive of the fast food restaurants, since I enjoy their market sandwiches).
Yesterday was definitely the healthiest of the five days, since we were at Mark & Kate’s house, and Kate made beef tortillas for lunch, which were very tasty. I’ve been eying burritos and tortillas at the supermarket for awhile, and now I have an incentive to buy them. ☺
Today is my niece Janel’s wedding, which will be the second big family gathering of the summer (after my cousin Marissa’s wedding a month ago), obviously filled with lots of food!
Monday I am meeting a group of recent graduates for lunch, spurred by Jess who has been planning a get-together since June. It should be lots of fun and, since I will no longer be at school, might be my last personal meeting with some of them (which is different than staying in touch with them online).
