Another busy week, with Target Teach Monday, a teachers’ association meeting Tuesday and the Morris Area Math Alliance yesterday (at which I was one of the speakers, discussing “Writing in Mathematics”). I am so happy to be home early today so that I can actually get a few things done.

I was at a luncheon yesterday at GlaxoSmithKline with four students who received deserved scholarships from them. It was a good luncheon, plus I learned a lot about that company, including a tour of their research facilities. I hope the students had as good a time there as I did.

Yesterday I got my 9th book in the mail through Paperback Swap, Stephen Lawhead’s historical epic Byzantium. As George Bottarini said to me today, when will I find the time to read all these new books? I don’t know, but they are a great bunch of reading. Another book is in the mail to me, plus I also got a request for another of my books, so soon the total will be up to 11 new books, hehe.
