Some random thoughts.

I am totally sick of winter weather, waking up with single digit temperatures, clearing snow several times a week, shivering just walking from my car to school. I certainly do not envy my friends in Michigan and Canada where the temperatures have hovered in minus figures. I’m ready for spring!!!

I really enjoy staying in touch with many of my former students, but sometimes I realize that with a few exceptions none of them enjoy staying in touch with me as much as I do. Not that I plan to cut the chord if they don’t, haha.

I’ve never gone to a Chinese New Year celebration before, so I am looking forward to this weekend a lot. The sad part is that it is also somewhat of a going-away party for my close friend who is relocating to California in the spring. Maybe I am not as ready for spring after all. :(

I’ve been good about my book-buying for the first 2 weeks of 2009, only having a single new book in my collection. Of course, I am waiting for February to arrive so I can get that second new book, of which I have a huge list of potential purchases on my computer!
