I have tons of work to do this weekend, including write 4 tests, grade tests taken by my two Independent Study students, order supplies for the math department, and write a newsletter. All of this in addition to likely spending time snow-blowing since the forecast today calls for 8-12" of snow! What fun.
The upcoming week will be a busy one too, with a night meeting Monday followed by a late meeting Tuesday. And to think that only a week ago I was in the midst of a long vacation! Of course, I was also in the midst of a two-week period of stomach virus followed by bad cold, so at least I am finally starting to feel better this weekend. I’ll take good health over easy lifestyle any time!
I don’t watch a lot of movies due to lack of time, but last night I watched The Bucket List, which I enjoyed a lot. If you want to read my review of it, check out my other blog.
In 1995 I let all my fiction magazines expire because I was falling too far behind in reading, including several years behind in reading those magazines. Honestly, I am still not caught up in reading those decade-old zines, but my favorite one has just cut its publication rate from monthly to bi-monthly, and I wonder if I can keep up reading 6 issues of a fiction magazine each year? My heart wants to subscribe to it again, but my head warns me No, no, you have too many books to read already! But sometimes the heart overrules the head, so we’ll see what happens.
Currently listening: Jean Luc Ponty combines jazz fusion with rock music as well as anybody, and his music is generally upbeat and throbbing with energy. His Live at Semper Opera is superb and highly-recommended listening to anybody who likes even a bit of prog rock.
