Winners and Losers...

Congratulations to the New York Giants who played a fabulous game Sunday night and deserved to be the Super-Bowl champions. After I watched Tom Petty’s halftime performance, I stayed for the entire second half–while reading a magazine, of course–and was glad I did.

John McCain is beginning to look unbeatable in the Republican primary, while Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will likely be fighting it out awhile longer. Perhaps this will be the first primary in decades which will not be settled until the convention itself. That might be disastrous for the Democrats, but very interesting for the viewers.

We were doing an example in Statistics today regarding a test which measures the ability of men and women to “appraise other people.” I have always considered myself fairly adept at appraising other people beneath the “walls” they use to face the world, but it is possible I have met my match this year in somebody whom I might have totally misunderstood.
