It is nice to have a weekend without a lot of schoolwork to do, so hopefully I can work in the January issue of my magazine as well as do final editing of several chapters of the Tibet book. We are hoping to submit the book this month to a publisher who liked the query letter and wishes to see the entire manuscript. That does not mean they will actually agree to publish the book, of course...

Currently listening: I have always been a big fan of progressive rock, and one of my favorite classic bands is The Strawbs, and their best album Hero and Heroine. If you have any interest in prog rock–Yes, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, Rush, the Decemberists–this is a highly-recommended album.

Currently reading: Poul Anderson is one of the classic storytellers of science fiction, and his collection To Outlive Eternity contains several outstanding novellas, including the title story which might be his most wondrous story ever. Great fun.
