Now that my two-week vacation is over, I still have 8 weeks to get my summer work done, which primarily consists of editing Fei Fei’s Tibet book. I have high hopes of actually finishing it this summer and submitting a chapter-and-outline to some potential publishers. The more I read the book, the better I like it but, of course, that is no guarantee that a publisher will agree with me.
My other chores include finishing the current issue of Visions of Paradise and going through the copying/collating/mailing process, and I have two stories of my own I really want to work on as well. We’ll see how well that goes.
One of my students told me yesterday that she received her AP score. It would make me happy if anybody else out there who got their score tells me how they did, since I do not get the results until the Guidance Department gets around to sending them to me. Thanks.
Currently reading: Hunchback of Notre Dame is an incredible book, much better than I realized with its Disney-animated connotations of recent years. I recommend it highly to anybody who has an interest in medieval life or reading what is in effect a multi-pronged morality play.
Currently listening: Neil Young was recently selected as the #2 best living songwriter (after Bob Dylan), and while I think that is a bit too lofty a position for him, he is still one of the most consisted singer-songwriters of the past 30 years. One of his best albums is Rust Never Sleeps, which comes from the late 1970s, arguably his best decade.
