This has been a very stressful week, as well as a very busy one, which is why I have not had time to update my blog all week. The stress is not over yet either, although I am hoping it will break early next week. If you do not hear from me for another full week, that’s why.

Baseball is approaching its annual playoffs, and the Yankees actually have a chance to do well for the first time since 2004. I have always felt that their collapse against the Boston Red Sox that year created such a negative mind-set on the team that they were in a playoff funk the next three years. Two of the best acquisitions they made this past season were to bring Nick Swisher and A.J. Burnett to the team, because their positive and fun-loving attitudes have eased a lot of the pressure which hung over the Yankees like a cloud in recent years. We’ll see how it plays out.
