Thursday after school Jean and I will be flying to Orlando to visit our older son who is in the midst of a 4½ month internship at Disney World. He does not seem to mind it much, mostly working at a resort called Beaches and Cream. Hopefully he was able to get off work Friday and Saturday so the three of us can spend some time enjoying Disney together.

Our younger son had a four-day Fall Break this weekend, so he and his girlfriend spent two days visiting Mystic Seaport and Foxwoods casino complex. It sounded like an interesting trip, one that Jean and I should consider sometime.

Currently listening: John Mellancamp is a very good traditional rock and roller along the lines of Tom Petty and Neil Young. Words and Music contains 36 of his best songs and is very enjoyable listening.

Currently reading: Poul Anderson might have been the best pure storyteller in science fiction, and nearly every one of his novels is worthwhile. I am currently enjoying Three Worlds to Conquer (a title I do not understand at all) in its original serial version in Worlds of IF from 1964. Good, relaxing stuff after a long day or working.
