The witch hunt by politicians and media against my school continues. Last night one of my students was on an MSNBC show where the host was an arrogant bully who attacked attacked attacked without bothering to listen to any facts. God help us if he represents any sizable portion of this country’s population. The mayor and the county freeholders have spoken out against the school’s mock trial, and tomorrow night the principal and several students are summoned to a Board of Education meeting to defend the trial. Are these people deliberately trying to make people fear speaking their mind at all? No wonder many people believe this is an anti-education country.

On a bright note, today is the start of the Big East basketball tournament, where 12 teams battle for four consecutive days to select a champion and hopefully send 6-8 teams to the NCAA championship. Go, Pirates... ☺
