Schools are breeding grounds for viruses, and right now I have a wicked cold. I am trying to do all the right things to combat it, such as sucking zinc losenges, drinking green tea, red wine, and lots of water, and thinking positive thoughts intended to motivate my immune system to fight the virus. It’s not so bad having a cold on a weekend since weekends are not as strenuous as teaching, plus I can rest a lot. We’ll see how I feel tomorrow though.
My niece got accepted into the College of New Jersey, and hopefully she will decide to go there. Mark and several former students agree that school has a really good atmosphere for learning, which is not surprising since it is highly-competitive but is not subject to several factors which work against more prestigious schools’ academic atmospheres, such as the snob factor, Division I sports, and legacies. Go, TCNJ!
