‘tis the season to be jolly... I realize that the true meaning of Christmas should really be about peace on Earth, good will to men, but that does not mean the social aspect is necessarily a bad thing. That being said, I enjoy buying things for people, especially items such as books (life = books ☺), music, and DVDs. It’s even fun buying a few of those things for myself!

Sunday is the day of the weekend when I try to do as little school work as possible, preferring to pack most of my work into a full-day of work Saturday. But I am not always successful at that, so this morning I wrote a handful of college recommendations, and this afternoon I finally graded a Statistics project which I collected early last week. But the crush of tests and a math contest pushed all of those items off until the weekend and, ultimately, today. But now I am finished, so Jean and I spent awhile online doing some Christmas shopping, and now I am awaiting a phone call from my “daughter.”

The overnight snowfall, first of the season, was only about 2" so Jean and I cleared it away in less than an hour this morning. There is a worse storm anticipated for Monday night though, which does not excite me since I dread driving in snow. Nancy and I have already decided that should be get the predicted 4" overnight Monday she and I will probably not be driving to school the next morning.

I bet that would make quite a few of my students happy, hehe. They’re probably doing their snow dance right now!
