The weather forecast was correct for a change. We had 8" of snow, requiring about 2 hours of clearing this morning, but the rest of the day was mostly free. I actually got a few chores accomplished, including mailing the latest VISIONS OF PARADISE to FAPA. That’s the Fantasy Amateur Press Association, an organization containing 52 fanzine publishers who exchange zines through an “official editor”.

The Parsippany Board of Education's $86 million referendum was voted down by the townspeople yesterday, which does not bode well for the teachers’ current negotiations with the BoE. Now they’ll try to find any way possible to save money, including both scrimping on our salaries and trying to force us to pay for our own health benefits. It should be a long, stressful year, as a result.
