Currently viewing: You won’t see any television reviews here, since I rarely, if ever, watch television. It’s not any philosophical opposition to tv, only that I have too much interest in reading and writing to spend time sitting in front of the “boob tube”. But I will occasionally take time to rent a movie and watch it, which is precisely what I did twice during this Christmas vacation.

FINDING NEMO was a cute film, certain to bring a smile to even the most jaded person. Sometime when you’re feeling stressed out and need a relaxing break, this is the film for you. I particularly liked the migrating turtles and Ellen Degeneres’ character. She stole the film, especially when she did her version of whale talk! ☺

SEABISCUIT was a manipulative film, but a successful one. It was the story of the quintessential underdogs, both horse and jockey, and how determination ultimately led to their success. I recommend this movie highly either if you’re feeling self-pitying or think you are a failure. If that undersized horse can succeed, so can you!
