Thursday night was the annual BAMBOOZLED at PHS. That’s a game show pitting teachers versus students. The teachers are selected by vote of the student body and since honors students are the ones who generally attend the event, they want to see their own teachers participate. So for the third year in a row I was suckered into playing. At least I did not embarrass myself! ☺

Yesterday I got in the mail Jack Vance’s three-in-one volume THE DEMON PRINCES. This was perhaps his best series of novels. I read the first two in serial form in GALAXY MAGAZINE 35 years ago, so I guess it’s time to have the books as well! I’ve decided to do a special “Jack Vance Appreciation” feature in the next issue of VISIONS OF PARADISE, including a brief biography and reviews of all his novels I’ve read recently. This weekend I’m reading his two most famous–and best–novellas “The Dragon Masters” and “The Last Castle.”
