Last night was another “last” event for me, my 14th Valedictorian-Salutatorian Dinner, which was very enjoyable, as usual. I chatted a lot with Eileen, although I wish I could have spent more time with Neelam as well.

One advantage to retiring is that former students come visiting (partly under the belief that they will never see me again after I retire, even though I will still be in the area and able to meet them elsewhere occasionally). Yesterday Monisha visited and today Preeti came. I enjoyed both visits a lot and are pleased they still think of me occasionally. Thank heavens for the Internet, if only because it keeps me in touch with former students!
