After being back in school for two days, I have a four-day Thanksgiving weekend. My intention is to work on schoolwork all day Friday and spend parts of the other days catching up on general paperwork and perhaps even do a bit of writing.

Currently listening. Television’s Marquee Moon is one of the classics of New York City punk rock, and it deserves its reputation every bit. Highly recommended whether you enjoy punk rock or not.

Currently reading. Jack McDevitt’s Seeker, the latest in his wondrous Alex Benedict series of historical mysteries. Benedict is a far-future antiquities dealer who has explored the true nature of a famous war hero (A Talent for War), the solution to a closed-room spaceship mystery, (Polaris) and now the location of a mysterious lost space colony. Both the mystery and McDevitt’s fine hand with future history make this one of my very favorite sf series.
