This has been a good spring break so far. Not only have I gotten all my chores done fairly painlessly, I have managed to edit 3 chapters of the Tibet book and actually written a scene of a future history story that I have been writing very slowly this school year. I am almost finished reading C.J. Cherryh’s wonderful Invader, second novel of her first Foreigner trilogy, and I am anxious to read the third book as soon as I find a copy on sale somewhere.

This will be a busy cooking weekend. Tomorrow the entire clan is coming over for a traditional Easter Saturday gathering, and Sunday we are having a much smaller crowd of 6 people. Today and tomorrow we are making spiral ham, 2 types of macaroni salad, rice salad, three-bean salad, and jello eggs for Saturday, and baked ziti for Sunday. Should be lots of good eating this weekend which, after all, is what holidays are all about, haha.
