The Christmas holiday does not end merely because Christmas Day itself has passed; rather the spirit lasts an entire week, including relaxation, visits from family and friend, and lots of eating! Somehow I need to accomplish a lot of work this vacation as well, but so far I have only managed to write a dozen college recommendations. I need to find the time to do some editing/writing before vacation ends since once school begins again my available time will dwindle to a bare minimum.

Other less-urgent plans this week include making some new recipes from the four Italian cookbooks I got last week; reading one of the three new books I got as Christmas presents; and buying a Panettone (since I have not eaten one in years, and they are a delicious breakfast food). It’s not like we don’t have enough Christmas food sitting around the house already. :)
