A half-day today followed by Thanksgiving weekend, which should be nice and relaxing. I will miss my students while I am home though. Normally, much as I enjoy my students, vacations are better because I can sleep late, work at my own pace, do some writing, and read. But in some ways life is like playing a wheel of fortune on a carnival midway. Each morning you wake up and spin the wheel. Some days you win, other days you lose miserably. Occasionally you hit the jackpot, and this school year certainly feels like a jackpot to me.
