The Math Lab has really been hopping this year, with more students there each day than ever before. The first group is usually waiting for me when I arrive in the morning, and they stay all morning. Several are there during all of my free periods, and the horde returns after school, not leaving until we kick them out at 3:30 to return home. They are particularly nice students though, and incredibly-serious about their studies, so even though I have trouble getting any work done the entire day due to the crush, it is totally worthwhile. In fact, I’ve been thinking lately how sad it will be when I retire eventually and have to give up what is probably the happiest portion of my entire life.

Currently reading: Leigh Brackett is one of the finest writers of the so-called “pulp era”, perhaps best known for her movie screenplays for The Big Sleep and The Empire Strikes Back. Sea-Gods of Mars is a comprehensive collection of her finest work, which is amazing in its color and Brackett's descriptive abilities.

Currently listening: Jethro Tull’s 36 Greatest Hits barely scratches the surface of this great band. You can’t get enough Tull!
