Who the heck expected a major snowstorm Friday after 70 degree weather a few days earlier? It was nice having a day off from school, but I paid for it with nearly two hours of snow-blowing heavy, deep snow Saturday morning! But we rewarded ourselves last night by going with Alan and Denise to the local Chinese buffet for a very good, multi-course meal. Why does it seem as if I have been eating non-stop the past few weekends? Two weeks ago I had two buffets, and I spent last weekend eating my way through the NJEA workshop. I wonder if I have gained any weight recently? ☺
Andy, Mark and Kate got caught in the snowstorm driving back from Myrtle Beach Friday, getting as far as Baltimore before the snow and traffic worsened so much they stopped at a hotel there. And Fei Fei’s flight home for Spring Break was cancelled Friday, then she had to wait most of Saturday in two airports before finally getting home.
All this recalls a poem from Archie Comic which I read as a youngster:
Spring is sprung
the grass is riz;
I wonder where the flowers is!
