As I mentioned last time, this was a good weekend because it contained lots of eating, but it also included visits with our younger son and surrogate daughter.

Friday Jean, Mark, Kate and I went to one of the local Chinese buffets (there are 13 Chinese and Italian restaurants on the main highway in town, a large amount considering less than 12,000 people live in this area of town) where we ate voraciously. This morning the four of us met Fei Fei at her apartment where, among other things, we went to a delicious buffet brunch at Princeton. Fortunately I am returning to school tomorrow where I have much less time to eat!

Jean and I went shopping last night (which we usually do on Friday nights but pushed off a night because of Mark & Kate’s visit), and I bought a novel in Iain M. Banks’ acclaimed Culture series of far-future sf novels, Look to Windward. Unfortunately, I do not have time during school to read such a detailed novel, so I will probably push it off at least until Spring Break and possibly until summer vacation.
