We did not take advantage of our weekly free Tuesday movie yesterday because nothing playing particularly appealed to us. Obviously we’re very picky about spending two-three hours at a movie, even when it’s free. The theater which has the free movie option actually has 16 movies right now:

• we’ve already seen The Adjustment Bureau, Source Code and The King’s Speech;
• while we enjoy “serious” animations, Rango, Paul and Hop all seem frivolous;
• a comedy needs to be better than sophomoric for us to consider it. Arthur got mediocre reviews which called it “childish,” an immediate rejection;
• neither of us likes adventure thrillers, which eliminated Hanna, Your Highness, Sucker Punch, Insidious and Red Riding Hood;
• the less said about Diary of a Wimpy Kid, the better;
Soul Surfer was about a shark attack? That’s too reminiscent of Jaws, another cheesy thriller we did not like.

That leaves 2 possible movies: Limitless (which got weak reviews) and The Lincoln Lawyer (ditto). So any recommendations you might have for those 2 movies are welcome. And if you think you can change my mind about any of the others above, go for it!
