I made a rare visit to my doctor Tuesday afternoon who gave me a prescription to deal with my congestion which had gotten pretty bad. Already it feels better, so that is a good sign. Sometimes I think schools are the unhealthiest places possible, and that I will be healthier when I retire and get out of that building!

Currently reading. I started reading Jack McDevitt’s Odyssey last Wednesday night, hoping to finish it during the four-day snow weekend. Instead I finished it this evening, but I enjoyed every page of it. McDevitt is such a good writer I wish he wrote even more books!

Currently listening. The Strawbs have a new album Dancing To the Devil’s Beat, and it is as good as all their recent albums have been. While they no longer make progressive rock, David Cousins is still an outstanding song writer whose music is very good 1970s rock revisited.
