This has been an incredibly-busy four-day weekend. Between Thursday and Friday I spent about 6 hours working on snow-removal, including nearly an hour wasted while we replaced the belt which drove the augur on the snow-blower.

Yesterday we went with two friends to Papermill Playhouse to see Neil Simon’s Lost in Yonkers. The play started slowly, but got better as it went along.

Afterwards we went to Ricci’s Italian restaurant in East Hanover, which we went to in November and liked a lot. It was just as good yesterday. Jean had shrimp and scallops in a light red sauce over linguine, while I had chicken breast pizzaiola with peppers, onions and mushrooms. It was delicious.

I have spent much of the morning cooking for dinner today and for lunches during the week. Mark and Kate are coming today with their two kittens. They want to see how they get along with Tiger, since we will likely be cat-sitting when they go on vacation. Tiger spent years trying to make friends with Misty, and was always rebuffed, so now we’ll see how she reacts being the old cat facing two invaders in her space.
