Many friends and students at colleges are on spring break this week, which has me a bit envious. ☺ The good part of it is that several students have either visited me at school or chatted with me online during their break, which is nice. However, so far all of them have been freshmen, which is indicative of how former students tend to drift away as they get farther and farther from high school. Fortunately, four former students who are out of school completely still stay in touch with me regularly, so I now consider them friends.

Two of my friends recently won the annual award as the Best Fanwriter and Best Letterhack in science fiction fandom, and I was proud of them. They are both excellent writers and deserve their awards. I only got a mere 5 points in the Best Fanwriter poll, which is actually more than I usually receive. It probably amounts to a single person liking my writing, which I guess is better than nobody liking it at all!
