I have been so busy with schoolwork this year that I have very little, if any, time for personal activities. Including writing my blog. So although I should be reading statistics this morning, instead I am writing both my personal journal and my personal and sfnal blogs. I’ll pay the price this afternoon, but for now it feels good...☺
Yesterday Jean and I, along with our niece Janel, went to The College of New Jersey for Parents’ Day. Perhaps I am expecting more, but neither TCNJ or East Stroudsburg University have particularly interesting activities to lure parents to visit. The featured items yesterday were a documentary history of TCNJ and a barbecue cook-off. There was also a football game to attend. None of these items particularly appealed to any of us, so instead we picked up Mark and Kate in the afternoon and went to dinner. It was a shorter visit than we would have liked, but other than sitting around chatting, which we do online every night anyway, there was nothing else worth doing.
Hopefully this comment will not offend any Boston Red Sox fans in my audience–hehe–but I have grown tired of hearing what a “great” rivalry the Yankees and Red Sox have. In order for a rivalry to be “great”, it must feature the two teams going back and forth, one time team A wins, another time team B wins. What is so great about the Yankees beating the Red Sox repeatedly for 80 straight years? While last night’s 19-8 victory was a bit surprising, considering the past histories of these two teams it was not totally unexpected.
