This is the last weekend before exams start, so it is the last time in the past 10 months I will be doing schoolwork for most of the weekend. Considering how much of my own writing I have backlogged, the prospect of free time the next two months is practically heavenly!
I’ve been fortunate to have visits from four former students the past two days, two of whom graduated from college recently, and two of whom are undergraduates. They’ve all turned out very well indeed. Chris graduated in finance from Boston College and is starting grad school at Notre Dame in the Fall. Denise graduated from Brandeis and is starting medical school at Tufts in the Fall. Winston is studying Pharmacy at Rutgers, and Sneha is a computer major at Newark Rutgers.
This morning I’ve been chatting online with two other former students. Sushi graduated in Business from Rutgers and starts her first fulltime job Monday (poor little Sushi...) while Kai is a sophomore at Berkeley who is interning at Penn State this summer.
I feel like a proud papa with so many successful kids! ☺
