This has been a busy week, most of my evenings spent proofreading papers for college and graduate students. I do not mind doing it though, especially since it helps me keep in touch with some people I might otherwise not.

I read the first three volumes of David G. Hartwell’s annual Best SF of the Year, then the crunch of reading time made me stop doing so. However, recently I have been eying those volumes again, and then I got the newest volume #14 as a Christmas gift. I am really enjoying reading it so far, and people who know me well can guess what thought that has sparked in my mind: I sure would like to go back and fill in the rest of the collection. Soon I will have a credit at Paperback Swap, so I will select one volume with it. But about those other 9 volumes... ☺

Currently listening: The Waterboys are one of my favorite underappreciated rock groups, and I have been gradually adding copies to my collection. My favorites are This is the Sea and Fisherman’s Blues, both of which are available as two-cd boxed sets, each containing the original album and a cd of outtakes, most of which are as good as the original songs. I recommend both these two cd’s very highly.
