These past two weeks have been Spring Break for most colleges–and am I envious of that!–so last week Andy and Mark were home for the week, and this week Jean is off. I have already had several visits from former students, including Sneha, Kandy, and Kelly yesterday, and Tony today, all of whom I was happy to see (and I wish I had more time to talk with each of them).

I am the co-advisor of the school newspaper, and we have not had a single issue published yet this year. So recently I appointed a new managing editor, and if her first meeting today was any indication, she is exactly the type of aggressive go-getter I had expected her to be. I am hopeful she will be able to motivate / encourage / cajole the freshmen into producing an issue in a relatively short time. Considering that we just signed a contract with an advertiser yesterday to publish their ad in two issues the next two months, those issues better appear.
