This is probably the longest I’ve gone without updating my blog, sorry. Last weekend we were in Maryland for a wedding where we had good food at the reception and a really nice setting on a pond for our hotel.

This week I was busy at school with Target Teach Monday night and an Indian Culture Club bake sale two afternoons. But I enjoyed working with my students, as I always do. Thursday I was flattered when the president of the French Club sent three of my sophomore girls with a free crepe for me to eat! And I had thought that girl actually disliked me. ☺

My friend George gave me his old Ipod filled with progressive rock to listen to. He told me how to go to the Apple Store to download more music, but I’m usually slow doing stuff like that. For now, I’ll listen to George’s music while I’m working on the computer. I will probably never be one of those people who wear earphones while taking my daily walk though!

Currently listening: Bob Dylan has gone through phases in which his albums were mostly throwaways, but his most recent few have been superb. Lately I’ve been listening to Love and Theft and Modern Times, both highly recommended.

Currently reading: Although I normally do not favor mysteries, I often enjoy historical mysteries because the depth and fascination of the setting trumps the mystery. An excellent example of this genre is Ellis Peter’s Brother Cadfael mystery St. Peter’s Fair which is so enjoyable that I am planning to read more of those books asap (and perhaps even put the Derek Jacobi videos on my Christmas list!).
