I have been so busy the past week that I have gotten no work done on the Tibet book, nor been able to finish VoP so I can mail out the summer issue. My father had emergency surgery Friday night, and he has been sedated in critical condition ever since. My whole family has been spending a lot of time at the hospital, much of it with my mother. At least the nursing staff believe my father’s condition is improving slowly, but he is still in ICU receiving round-the-clock care.

Other chores have included going to a wake for Denise’s mother, meeting with our financial advisor, going to the chiropractor, and so many other little chores that have kept us busy the past week. What began as a carefree, productive summer has become somewhat of a drag, not to mention emotionally draining. Hopefully everything will work out the next few weeks.

Hi it's Christina. I don't have a blog so I couldn't post my own comment so I had to borrow someone's. Anyway... I really hope your dad feels better. My grandma fell and broke her ribs and her shoulder while I was on vacation and now we've been spending a lot of time in the hospital so I know how hard it is.
