One of the joys of teaching is bonding with students, and I am fortunate enough to stay in touch with many students long after they graduate high school. Some of the students I have been in contact with this summer include the following:

• Jessica just finished a year teaching in Honduras and might spend the next year teaching in China

• Sudarshan quit his job at Goldman Sachs to begin graduate school at Columbia

• Lauren began military training this summer in anticipation of becoming a military doctor after she finishes medical school which begins next month

• Suruchi is completing her first year of marriage while working as a translator in New York City

• Kevin spent most of his summer break doing research at Penn State

• Sneha is taking summer courses at Newark Rutgers while working in the computer lab

• Jessie finished her first year of college and his working this summer when she is not sneaking off to NYC to visit her boyfriend ☺

• Sushi graduated Rutgers and is working her first job making lot$ of money

• Cathy has been working in Chicago for a year since graduating from UMichigan

• Leslie is spending the summer in China while preparing to transfer to Cornell in the Fall. I wonder if any other former student figured into her decision?

• Marwa is getting married on a cruise ship and honeymooning afterwards in Disneyworld! I think her vacation dwarfs all the rest of ours for pure fun
